Since its foundation as a radio factory in China in 1969, Hisense has grown to become a multi–billion dollar conglomerate, selling products in over 130 countries worldwide and boasting a workforce in excess of 60,000 — over 3,000 of which are dedicated to R&D to keep Hisense at the forefront of technological advances.
Hisense’s history is decorated with numerous significant milestones. It was the first company to launch 3G mobile phones in China and its advanced HICON public transportation management system helped control the flow of spectators at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Hisense’s commitment to creating innovative electronics products has been recognised with numerous awards such as the prestigious “Value Innovation Award” at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2012.
